We have just learned that Studio B Salon has won The Knot’s “Best of Weddings” award for the fourth year in a row now! Less than 2% of wedding professionals win this award, so it is a huge honor for us to have achieved this again!
We work with so many wonderful Rhode Island brides to customize their bridal hair and makeup looks for their big day. Our award-winning team is comprised of bridal hair and makeup specialists who are always learning and creating new trends and gorgeous looks for our brides.
As we come to the end of the 2015 RI Wedding Season we are so grateful to all of our past brides for the wonderful reviews and we look forward to working with our 2016 brides!
With engagement season upon us so many brides will be starting the planning process within the next few months. There are so many details, large and small, that go into planning a wedding, but one of the most important things to every bride is how they look on their wedding day. Obviously “The Dress” sets the tone of each bride’s style, but hair and makeup plays a big part also. The wrong hair and makeup can take away from the dress. With every bridal consultation that we do at Studio B our first question is always “What does your dress look like?”. It is so important to make sure that your wedding hair and makeup compliment your dress, not compete with it. Professional hair and makeup is also important on your wedding day because the pros know all the tips and tricks to make sure that your hair and makeup lasts all day and night. Studio B is a 5 star rated Bridal Hair Salon by our brides from The Knot and Wedding Channel. To learn more about our Bridal beauty services call Studio B at 401-437-8688 and ask for Kristi.
As we get ready for the 2012 Prom Season there are two major components that will define your look (besides the dress of course), hair and makeup!
There are so many gorgeous trends that have turned up for the season that we are super excited about. Just keep in mind that you want to choose hair and makeup styles that will compliment your dress and most importantly that you feel comfortable wearing.
The major hair trends this season are braided upstyles, side-swept loose waves, retro inspired upstyles, and top knots. We are also seeing more hair accessories this season. Beaded headbands, faux flowers and loose crystals that are “glued” into the hair.
As for makeup, the biggest trend is bold colored lips (reds, oranges and pinks), paired with a winged black eye liner and full luscious lashes. We are also seeing a lot of smoky eyes, however instead of the classic grays used to create this look we are now seeing more colors used instead. Color like navy blues and deep purples make for a beautiful and unique smoky eye, and paired with a light glossy lip you can’t go wrong!
No matter which prom style is right for you it is always a good idea to bring a few “inspiration pictures” to your stylist and makeup artist so that they can see they style you want.
